sponsor a resident

Become a virtual pig parent

Rescuing an individual is only a small part of the experience as a sanctuary. Our residents need lifelong support to be happy, healthy, and safe. Just as with humans, many will require medical care at some point in their life. Every single one of our residents is so precious to us, and being able to ensure we have the funds to support their current and future needs is of the utmost importance to us.

Sponsor by December 10, 2023 to ensure that your gift is delivered by Christmas! Sponsor a resident with a monthly donation! Become a virtual pig mom or dad!

$30/month - A thank you card, photo, magnet, and letter detailing the resident's backstory, time with CTPR, & follow up emails about how your sponsored resident is doing!
$45/month - become a superhero sponsor by donating a bit extra to support our residents without sponsors

Want to sponsor a resident not on this list? You can email in asking to support anyone you would like!

  • Sponsor's Choice!

Choose to sponsor any resident you’d like, even if they’re not listed here. If you aren’t sure, we can choose someone special for you!

  • Gladys

Gladys is a superstar resident of Oakwood Ridge, and one of the elder survivors of the Caldwell Seizure. After several years and lots of work by our committed team, she’s finally allowed us into her sweet friend circle.

  • Sparrow & the Bird Babies

Sparrow, Hawk, Chickadee and Falco were found as strays with their mama Raven in 2018. Raven had been seen pregnant for a few weeks, and one day had her lovely piglets beside her. Some kind people captured them and brought them to us. These shy but charismatic sweeties are close to each other and loved members of our Pinecone Hollow neighborhood.

  • Lola

A petite girl with a sparkly personality, Lola captivates her friends with her soulful eyes and sweet demeanor. A resident of the Juniper Flats neighborhood, Lola was saved in the Caldwell Cruelty Seizure and has worked hard to overcome her physical and emotional trauma to live her best life.

  • Defiance

A survivor of the Bastrop Cruelty Seizure and resident of the Yaupon Canyon neighborhood, Defiance was the poster child for her name. So unwell and emaciated but surviving defiantly despite her abuse, she was a protective mama to her two surviving piglets, Justice (who still lives with us and his mama) and Hope (who was adopted). Sponsor Defiance or both her and her sweet son!

  • Buddy Holly

Buddy Holly & his sister Piggy Sue came to us when a sanctuary in California was forced to close when their caretaker was elderly and sick. They had never been around pigs other than each other until they came to us. We created the Cedar Hills neighborhood inspired by them and several other pigs who didn’t quite fit in anywhere they were. They’ve been thriving and making friends among this group of unique personalities!

  • Piggy Sue

Piggy Sue & Buddy Holly came to us when a sanctuary in California was forced to close when their caretaker was elderly and sick. They had never been around pigs other than each other until they came to us. We created the Cedar Hills neighborhood inspired by them and several other pigs who didn’t quite fit in anywhere they were. Piggy Sue was one of our shyest pigs of all time and would scream when anyone was near her. With lots of effort from many different people, even brand new visitors, she has had major breakthroughs and even her first belly rub!

  • Finn

Finn was picked up as a stray when he was just a few days old. He was found in a flower pot in a parking lot, and some good Samaritans brought him to the shelter. Finn is one of the most snuggly, cuddly guys in the world. He never passes up an opportunity for belly rubs and affection, and helps everyone he meets feel special and loved.

  • Poppy & Willow

Known as “the sillies,” these girls were saved from an animal testing lab and have lived every moment of their freedom at 110%. Sponsor one or both!

  • Coco

If you’ve been to Oakwood Ridge, you know Coco! Her signature move is to stand nearby you long enough to get your attention and scratches. Her name is short for the Italian word “coccolare” which means “to cuddle” because she’s one of the snuggliest girls we know. Coco was saved in the Caldwell Cruelty Seizure.

  • Raymond

Our handsome Ossabaw Island Pig, Raymond, is the sweetest muppet you’ll ever know! He was someone’s companion as a piglet, but when they saw his level of energy, he was surrendered to another sanctuary before making his way to us. Raymond is a favorite of our team because of his gentle personality and gorgeously curly hair.

  • Eleanor

Eleanor is the First Pig of CTPR. A Pig named Mama was found pregnant and hiding in a barn after a recent flood and had nowhere to go. She was taken in by a small farm animal rescue south of Austin where she gave birth to a full litter. One of these babies was Eleanor. When she was about 7 weeks old, a neighbor dog broke into the rescue property and attacked mama and her babies. Mama thankfully survived, but not all of her babies made it. Eleanor was one of the lucky ones and because of the danger and urgency, they all needed to be rehomed immediately and that’s how Eleanor came to CTPR.

  • Westley

Westley was rescued in the Bastrop Cruelty Seizure of 2016, and is one of only two brown pig residents on the property! After all of these years, Westley is finally coming to trust some humans, which is a wonderful development in his journey. He’s a handsome teddy-bear of a guy, and we are so grateful for his gentle demeanor and sweet eyes.

  • Zoey

Zoey was saved from animal testing in 2017. Animals in testing labs are rarely ever freed, as most are euthanized upon the conclusion of the tests. Zoey is one of the smartest, savviest, most social pigs we know. She recently went to the hospital (for what we now assume to be some heat related issues), and when she returned, she was greeted joyously by almost ever pig in her neighborhood. This shows what a loved and valued leader she is.

  • Thasha

Thasha is one of our most outgoing residents, rescued in the Caldwell seizure of 2018. Thasha has the most curious upturned snout, and will always be first in line for treats and scratches. She's mischievous, clever, and hilarious. Two summers ago, she had a hernia, which was successfully solved with surgery. Today, Thasha is one of the most excited faces, present for all the goodies and excited to scheme her way into extra treats!

  • Glenn

Glenn is one of the sweetest, most sensitive guys you’ll ever meet. He was saved in the Caldwell Cruelty seizure of 2018 and was just about 2 weeks old at the time. He has gorgeous blue eyes and will follow around those he loves. Last year, Glenn had an emotional setback when he got his tusk stuck in a fence. With a bruised ego and self-esteem needing recovery, we’ve been working with him to remind him how special he is. Glenn reminds us that good friends can uplift us when we need it most, and today, Glenn is getting back to his old self!

  • Dora

Dora is a force, and it’s impossible not to love her! As an elderly lady, she knows age is just a number, and chooses to live a life where she never stops moving, makes her demands known and wins hearts all over. She’s best known for always standing in her water bowl, needing to be the center of attention, her zany dinner behavior and intense stares in the hopes that you’ll pour the pellets directly into her mouth. Dora is unstoppable.

Sponsor Dora or become a family sponsor of her and her daughter, Georgie!

  • Georgie

Georgie is one of our kunekune residents, rescued in the Bastrop cruelty seizure. She is Dora’s daughter and these two ladies are absolutely inseparable, often sleeping snout to snout. Georgie has beautiful bright eyes, is so outgoing and loving, and is known for her adorable wiggly ears while she eats!

Sponsor Georgie or become a family sponsor of her and her mama, Dora!

  • Sophia

Sophia is gentle and completely perfect. During the Bastrop Seizure of 2016, we were contacted by a person who claimed to be Sophia’s family and that they were boarding her at the breeders house where they pigs were seized and that they had visited and discovered the abhorrent conditions the pigs were living in. They wanted to take her back but the sheriff wouldn’t without CTPR consent. After some deliberation, lots of conditions discussed, a home visit, and a few visits by the family to see Sophia at CTPR, we agreed to allow her to go back home with them. Not too long after, the family showed up at gate stating that the father had just gotten a new job out of state and they couldn’t take her with them. Despite our explanation that she was their responsibility, they dropped her outside the gate and took off, not looking back and never contacting again. Sophia is a loving, sweet Pig who is desperate for attention whenever anyone is near. We are grateful to be able to give her the love she deserves knowing how her own family turned their backs on her not once, but twice.

  • Jojo

There’s no one in the world like Jojo! Jojo was rescued from Animal Testing and spent a few months in foster with Hannah Shaw, @kittenxlady. She and Pearl joined the CTPR family in August, and has been the brightest, happiest girl. She moves fast, is always busy, gives the best hugs and kisses, and is a true treasure.

  • Steve

Steve is a boy who will win your heart. He is a single dad who was rescued from a breeder in Mississippi, along with his three sons. Steve is gentle, loves affection, and is a bit socially awkward around other pig. He’s come such a far way finding his place in his pig family, but he’s become best friends with Jojo, and is even helping other socially awkward individuals find their safety.

  • Cajun Charlie

Cajun Charlie is all southern charm! He hails from New Orleans and was rescued by Villalobos Animal Rescue (of Animal Planet’s Pitbulls & Parolees fame) when he was found tied up at a trailer park being fed beer and hot dogs. When the team stepped in, they found a very unfriendly, in-tact Charlie who actually chased the parolees! Once he got here, we got him neutered and he became the absolute teddy bear we know today. He is such a cuddly guy.

  • Bailey

Beautiful, precious queen Bailey was rescued from an auction when she was just about a month old. She had some kind of hip/joint infection that quickly sent her to the hospital for over a month of treatment. Despite the worry of amputation, she recovered. When she returned, she needed several months isolation to not exacerbate the issue. When she was ready to join the others, we decided to integrate her with the potbellies instead of the big kids so she could ease into normal activities. Today, she still lives with her little friends as one beautiful family.

  • Tank

Tank has one of the most incredible smiles at CTPR! Saved as a piglet in the Caldwell Seizure of 2018, he has tons of personality, never misses snacks, and has been an incredible ambassador for his group. Tank’s charm and dashingly good looks make him a favorite of all visitors!

  • Franklin

Franklin was the second pig of CTPR. Franklin came from San Antonio (where pigs are not allowed within city limits). He was listed on Craigslist as a micro Pig and was too much for the family that bought him on a whim. When he was picked up, he had free run of the house and when he would fuss or make noise, they would give him food to keep him busy. It’s not wonder that he has a tendency to throw tantrums at meal times! Franklin loves attention and will go into a deep belly-rub-coma that can last for hours after the belly rub is done.

  • Agnes

Agnes, the incredible! Saved in the Bastrop Cruelty Seizure, Agnes is a kunekune with nonstop personality and charm. She’s known for her relentlessly optimistic greetings, her floppy-eared running, and her way of capturing the heart of everyone she meets. Her energy is so powerful; she’s a changemaker and truly wonderful friend.

  • Jill

Jill and her brother Jack were rescued after a sanctuary in California closed down and the pigs were forced to find new homes or would be euthanized. Jill is such a shy, lovely soul, never pushy or too forthcoming. Her mild-mannered approach is something we love about her as we help her continue to come out of her shell!

Sponsor Jill, or become a family sponsor of her and Jack.

  • Jack

Jack and his sister Jill were rescued after a sanctuary in California closed down and the pigs were forced to find new homes or would be euthanized. Quiet, charming, with just a touch of confident swagger, Jack is often seen spending time with his sister, and working on building his trust in humans.

Sponsor Jack, or become a family sponsor of her and Jill.

  • Kitty

Kitty is a strikingly beautiful, gentle girl. She came from Massachusetts and the largest animal cruelty seizure in New England’s ASPCA history. She and her brothers George and Willie were 3 of over 1500 survivors of heinous abuse on a farm. Kitty is one of the sweetest, most lovely girls with gorgeous floppy ears and the softest demeanor.

Sponsor Kitty, or become a family sponsor of her, George, and Willie.

  • Molly

Molly was saved in 2018 as a tiny piglet after a local family called us to help with her mama Dahlia’s week long labor. Molly was her only surviving piglet. Because of this, Molly is one of the rare pigs to have known nothing but love and kindness from just a week old. She is so gentle, loving, affectionate, and still a mama’s girl. She has also begrudgingly taken on the role of big sister to Pixie, and they now spend tons of quality time together.

Sponsor Molly or become a family sponsor of both her and her mama Dahlia.

  • Pixie

Pixie was rescued from an FFA program by the wonderful student who raised her. Narrowly escaping her tragic fate, Pixie came to CTPR the day before she was scheduled for slaughter. She is one of the most outgoing, lovable, and affectionate girls we know. Though it took a bit for her to make friends, she is now such a valued member of the family, with Molly, Dahlia, and Loretta as some of the strong ladies who love her most.

  • Atlas

Atlas is one of the kunekune family, and a truly charming guy. He has an incredibly handsome smile, warmly greets everyone he meets, and loves to be involved in activities. Atlas needs to be separated at every meal because of some intestinal issues, and he absolutely loves being escorted to his private condo to dine! Atlas’ meal plan is a highlight of our volunteer shifts, as there’s nothing cuter than him trotting beside you racing to his condo!

Sponsor Atlas or become a family sponsor of him and his cousin Bela!

  • Bela

Bela is one of our kunekune boys, known for his sweet and quiet personality (except when food is around!). Bela is likely Dora’s son, and a cousin of Atlas.

Sponsor Bela or become a family sponsor of him and his cousin Atlas!

  • Lulu

Lulu and JJ were rescued from a farm where they were used for breeding in 2016. Suddenly and sadly, we lost JJ just this week due to kidney failure. They were an inseparable couple, truly proving that pigs form bonds for life. As we work through this stage of grief with Lulu, we are hopeful that she will come to find renewed joy in all the love that surrounds her.

  • Rose

    Rose

Rose was rescued in the Bastrop Seizure of 2016, and was one of the older pigs, earning a spot among our Golden Girls. She had been used for breeding for years, and was underfed to help her produce smaller babies. Today, Rose is an understandably skeptical of people, but is coming closer to trusting us. She has one of the most beautiful and distinct faces, and is especially bold when snacks are around. We hope sponsorship will help her continue to feel loved and supported!

  • Betty

    Betty

Betty is our resident sourpatch kid! First she’s sweet…then sometimes…she’s a little bit sour! She was abandoned and picked up by animal control in 2018. She’s one of the sassiest, most bold communicators, known for giving a little nip here or there (but never without warning). We love her zesty energy and attitude!

  • Folsom

Folsom is an American Guinea Hog. He was a stray roaming the streets, and was going to be sent to auction. Once at CTPR, he proved to be the most gentle teddy bear, quite shy until his human friends earned his trust.
